Salang Pass Restaurant has been rated as the Best Authentic Afghan Restaurant in the Bay Area.  This is a very respectable title considering that the Bay Area is home to the United State 's largest Afghan population.     Our ingredients are local and fresh, and the Executive Chef is the owner and prepares her sauces and mixes fresh daily, that is our secret.  In addition to great food, our ambience is extravagant.  As one critic as put "The flowing, multicolored fabric overhead, overlapping rugs and plush pillows make the room feel like dining in a luxurious tent."  You have the option of traditional floor seating or regular table seating.

We are open daily.  On Mondays 5 to 11pm.  Tuesday - Thursday 11am - 10pm.  Friday to Sunday 11am - 10:30pm.
